The outer: Wipe with a dry or lightly damp cloth to lift dust and marks. Keep alcohol, solvents and cleaning sprays off it — they strip the finish, and it doesn't come back.

The inside: Wipe clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth, and dab spills as they happen rather than letting them sit. Let it air dry fully before you pack it again.

The hardware: Dry the zips and studs after any contact with moisture. Brass dulls when water is left to sit on it.

Heat & sun: Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Both fade the colour and stiffen the material over time.

Storage: Store it upright and unfolded, out of direct sun, ideally back in its box or a dust bag so nothing scratches or presses it out of shape.

Personalisation: The name on the front is heat-pressed or foil pressed by hand. Give it a gentler touch than the rest, and keep it dry.
